☆★ This product is for teaching assertive communication to middle and high school students that have problems expressing opinions and collaborating with others. It focuses on 3 communication styles (passive, assertive, aggressive) and teaches students ways to communicate with others in an assertive manner. It is a complete lesson on assertive communication- concepts & skills are taught and vocabulary & knowledge checks, practice situations & review are built into the lessons. There is content here for multiple sessions or pick and choose what you’d like to teach.

Mini lessons on the following are provided:
Passive, assertive or aggressive. Students learn to differentiate through matching and open-ended tasks. Students give synonyms and use the words in a sentence.

The 3 C’s of assertive communication (confidence, clarity, control),
also contains a diploma, mini posters and a template for individualizing I messages.
☀️Within each mini lesson, there is an explanation of the skill, multiple choice responses, open-ended responses and scenarios providing a deeper dive into the skill.
☀️Towards the end, social scenarios are given where students choose which of the assertiveness skills to use & type what they’d say. A review is at the end.
☀️Students are given multiple response modes to demonstrate their knowledge including: yes/no, multiple choice, and open-ended where students type their responses.
☀️Real photographs of middle school, high school and young adults are used and mutiple skin tones are represented.
☀️The social scenarios cover peer influence, friendship issues, bullying, dating, declining, disagreements and more.
